December 1, 2011 - Anton Vidokle for Art Fag City

On November 30, 2011, Will Brand of Art Fag City requested blog readers to help develop Anton Vidokle's Wikipedia page. Vidokle, founder of e-flux, artist, curator, and writer, was recently ranked #5 in Artreview's Power 100. In honor of that, I thought I'd make this Frankenstein mashup of a few Google image search results I found of him. I printed it, cut it out, then airbrushed the background as well as his form with my new Paasche H model single action airbrush using Golden airbrush acrylic paint and added embelishments with graphite and colored pencil. Anton's shirt design is based on his awesome public mural, 100 Bankrupt Corporations. So Anton - If you're out there and you see this, I hope you like it! That goes to you too Will and Paddy.

October 11, 2011 - Innaugural Wikipedia Drawings work - "Crossover Dribble"

This is "Crossover," for my new wiki-drawings project (WDP.)
I've added it to the entry for the "Crossover Dribble" on Wikipedia.
For the WDP, I plan to create drawings for whatever wiki-pages I feel need illustrations.
By drawing out my ideas, rather than simply finding google images for each entry, I'll be adding an analog sensitivity to whatever concept is at hand.
